What Vera is
Vera is an AI chat for everyday stress, worry, loneliness, relationship questions and sorting out your thoughts. It is an AI, not a human. It is not a licensed therapist, psychologist, counselor, doctor or other health professional, and it is not a crisis service. It does not diagnose or treat conditions.
Getting started
- Open the chat and write a message, or use the microphone to speak.
- Before your first message you confirm that you are 18 or over and you accept the health-information consent.
- You can start without an account. Signing in gives you a further allowance of free answers.
Free answers, balance and prices
You start with a few free answers. Each answer Vera gives you is paid for from your balance, at the price shown in the chat. The balance and the price are shown in the chat before you top up. There is no subscription and no automatic renewal.
Top-ups are one-time payments. Unused paid balance can be refunded as the payments and refunds page explains.
Voice messages
Voice messages need access to your microphone. If the browser blocks it, see the microphone help page. After you change a setting, refresh the page.
Your data
What we collect, why, how long we keep it and your rights are set out in the privacy notice. You can ask for your data to be exported and for your account to be deleted. You can also ask us by e-mail.
If you are in danger
Vera is not a crisis service. If you may be in danger, or you are thinking about harming yourself, do not wait for a reply in the chat. Open the list of crisis lines for your country in the chat, or call your local emergency number now.
