How to allow microphone access

Voice messages need the microphone. If the browser blocked it, follow the steps for your device. Afterwards, refresh the page.

Start chatting

iPhone and iPad

1. Open Settings on your device.
2. Scroll down to the list of apps and open the browser you use (Safari, Chrome, Firefox, Edge or Opera).
3. Turn on Microphone for that browser.

Still not working? Open the site in another browser.

Android

1. Open Settings on your device.
2. Search for "Permissions" or "App permissions". The name depends on your phone.
3. Open Microphone, then find the browser you use (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Samsung Internet or Opera).
4. Tap it and choose Allow.

Computer

Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge

1. Click the icon at the left of the address bar (a padlock or an "i").
2. Open the site settings and set Microphone to Allow.

Mozilla Firefox

1. Click the icon at the left of the address bar.
2. Find the microphone permission. If it says "Temporarily blocked", choose to allow it.

Safari (Mac)

1. Open Safari settings, then the Websites tab, then Microphone.
2. Set the Vera site to Allow.

Opera

1. Click the padlock in the address bar.
2. Turn on the microphone for the site.
