Health-information consent

Consent text version 1.0 · effective [LEGAL_EFFECTIVE_DATE]

This is the consent we ask for before your first message. It is short on purpose. The privacy notice has the full details.

The two boxes

Before your first message, the app shows two separate boxes. Neither box is ticked by default. Both must be ticked before the conversation can start. We record the text you agreed to, its version, the date and time, and your IP address.

Box 1

I am 18 years of age or older.

Box 2

I agree that [COMPANY_LEGAL_NAME] may process what I write about my health or state of mind, which some laws call special or sensitive information, to generate my replies, keep my conversation history and run automated safety checks. This includes sending it to the service providers we use in other countries, including the United States, the European Union and the United Arab Emirates, as the privacy notice describes.

What “health or state of mind” covers

Anything you write that relates to your physical or mental health. That includes how you are feeling, your sleep, anything a doctor has told you, and any condition someone has told you that you have. You do not have to write any of it. People often do, because that is what the service is for, and some laws require us to ask you first, clearly and separately.

Why we need it

Who processes it

[COMPANY_LEGAL_NAME], which runs the Service, our hosting provider, and the AI model providers we reach through our routing service, in the European Union, the United States and the United Arab Emirates. Speech providers process voice messages if you use voice input. Each is bound by a written contract that requires protection comparable to the law that applies to you. None of them may use your content to train its own models.

How long we keep it

Until you delete the conversation, or until you close your account, or until your account has been inactive for 24 months, whichever comes first. The consent record is kept for 3 years after your account closes, as proof that you gave and withdrew consent. The privacy notice explains what the record contains.

Withdrawing your consent

You can withdraw this consent at any time, from your account page, or by emailing [SUPPORT_EMAIL].

Withdrawal does not make the processing before it unlawful. Because the Service cannot work without processing what you write, withdrawing the consent closes your account and deletes your conversations. Any unused paid balance is refunded as the payments and refunds page allows.

Not a medical or crisis service

Sibona and Vera do not diagnose, treat or advise on health conditions, and they are not a crisis service. The app shows crisis lines for your country. If you are in danger now, call your local emergency number.

If you would rather not

Then please do not use the Service. There is no version of it that works without this consent, and we would rather say so plainly.
